Book note for “How migration really works” by Hein de Haas

I must say that 2024 is off to a pretty good start for me! Ordering a book for a university library seems like a simple and ordinary thing to do, but this is a privilege I certainly do not take for granted. In fact, I feel deeply grateful to order books for the Linkoping University Library, having all but forgotten what it feels like to have an entirely new issue in hand. Hot off the press and currently only available in hardcover, the book is “How migration really works” by Hein de Haas. I filled out the library forms in early December and my book arrived just before winter recess started, perfectly timed for some much enjoyed reading. Here is a short book note I wrote about it for the Journal of Peace Research.
