Happy to have contributed to a panel on return migration and displacement at this year’s annual conference organised by the Maastricht Centre for Citizenship, Migration and Development (MACIMIDE) in collaboration with the Dutch Association for Migration Research (DAMR).
The new “hybrid” format comes with its set of challenges, but the benefits far outweigh the costs, particularly for researchers based in places geographically distant from the centres of knowledge production and mainstream academia. Two panelists were present in-person at the conference venue in Maastricht, while I participated online. Thanks technology, for making geography history!
